Easy To Use Controls
The Golden LiteRider Power Chair is equipped with a user-friendly joystick controller designed for smooth, intuitive operation. Whether you're new to power chairs or a seasoned user, this guide will help you get comfortable navigating with confidence.
Joystick Basics:
- Power Button: Press and hold the power button to turn the chair on or off. You’ll see lights on the control panel when it’s powered up.
- Battery Indicator: A row of LED lights will show the battery level. Green means charged, yellow indicates a medium level, and red means it's time to recharge soon.
- Speed Control: Adjust your speed using the + and – buttons. Start slow until you’re comfortable, then increase as needed.
Joystick Movement:
- Push forward to move straight ahead
- Pull back to reverse
- Move left or right to turn in that direction
- The LiteRider has a tight turning radius, making it ideal for indoor use and maneuvering in small spaces.
Stopping:
- When you release the joystick, the chair will automatically come to a smooth stop and engage the electronic brake. No need to press a separate brake—it’s built into the system for your safety.
Tips for Smooth Driving:
- Keep your hand lightly on the joystick—gentle pressure gives you better control.
- Practice making slow turns in open areas before navigating tighter spaces.
- Recharge the battery regularly, especially before extended use or travel.

Delivery: How It Works At A Hotel
We may drop off your power wheelchair(s) at the hotel bell desk either the evening before your rental date or the day of, depending on the hotel's policies. If you're not checked in yet, no worries! We'll leave your scooter(s) at the bell desk under your hotel reservation name, and you can pick it up at your convenience. (Pro tip: please include your hotel reservation name in the “notes” section during checkout to help us with this process.)
- If your hotel does not allow vendors to leave rental scooters, we will contact you to arrange an in-person drop-off and pickup.
Pickup: How It Works At A Hotel
To return your item(s), simply leave it with the bell desk or front desk, and we’ll pick it up the evening or the next morning your rental ends. It’s that simple and convenient!
Delivery: Redidential or AirBnb/VRBO
We are happy to deliver your rentals to any residence within our delivery zone, which extends 30 miles from the Minneapolis and St. Paul area. If you're unsure whether your location falls within our delivery range, please don’t hesitate to give us a call at (612) 334-3159, and we’ll be happy to assist you in confirming your delivery eligibility. We strive to make sure your rental experience is as convenient as possible!
